    “This is madness!”
“This is… The Cradle scenario!!! And when we go down Magasta’s Pool we’ll dine in hell!!!”
    ;-P

Sometimes it’s madness, and sometimes it’s mythology, and if you’re sitting on the front lines there’s often no way to tell…

Love it. Looks like poor Lionfish will be testing that famous line between the other guy’s mythology and his own definition of madness soon. Nice runes on Argrath’s magic necklace!

Argrath’s makes a poetic reference to Gim Gim the Grim.

“This is how we deal assassins without respect for life.”, he said.

    Commander Sharpsword looks transcended face.
Has he been possessed by a god or something?

In Glorantha, when one is channelling the powers of the gods one takes on certain aspects of the deity’s appearance, be it an aura or deity-shadow or what have you.

Thank you very much. Then, he seems to be speaking for Orlanth now. The blue swirls of his aura let me recall whirlwind.

Well that’s when someone is casting their greater Rune magics. Glorantha has several different traditions, though what they’re specifically called depends on the RuneQuest rules you’re using.
The three basic types are Spirit/Battle Magic, Rune Magic, and Sorcery.
What Argrath is doing here is sort-kinda a fourth type: HeroQuesting. Argrath is essentially channeling inner Orlanth power in order to mythically prepare to enter the Hero Plane and spiritually interact with myth itself.

I’m not gonna spoil it for you, but the Cradle Scenario is a major Gloranthan plot hook. It’s roughly on par with the Breaking of Isengard in the LOTR cycle; a major waypoint that allows other, more incredible events to occur.

        It’s also a MAJOR character-killer. Tomb of Horrors on a boat. 😀

Thanks! I never had the opportunity to play Rune Quest.
I am looking forward to this comic. I am overwhelmed by mythological images rather than gameplay.
