The Ingilli river folk are really all-in on this operation – at two per boat they might outnumber all the other participants combined. Any doubt I might have had at Elusu’s ability as a recruiter are now gone!

PCs never take “boat handling” as a skill. If there are boats in an adventure, there will be hirable natives to crew them.

My PCs always have at least one good boat handler. In Glorantha, you’re screwed without one.

    What a page! Great job.

Are these all part of Argrath’s group? For example, there are some Uz under the tree that I’m curious about.

That’s a VERY low waterline on that cradle, must be bouyant as heck. One thing that does look a bit odd though, is the very high prow-wave. Makes the water look a bit… viscous?

Also, I’ve tried to research some lore… Will the Uz and Rurik be having a problem here?

Undines! Have to take advantage of those water elementals to move the Cradle along.

Nothing with the size, shape and weight of the cradle will be able to sail down the river without magical assistance anyway. And considering the amount of magical protections and guardians that the giants put in this, having some water elementals push it along on their backs makes sense.

As for the Uz – there are actually a bunch of Yelmalions in the big crowd on the left bank here – the trolls and the sun cultists are, very deliberately, kept as far apart from each other as possible.

Ah, thanks for the clarification on the magic. I’m still not quite into the mindset that magic is everywhere. 😛

There’s an extra layer of meaning to the Life Rune that might apply to the situation here, being the rune of Joining.

Having sat in on the “hangout” that featured this page–it’s great to see what the final result is!

What an image! So green. Clearly here we see the Big Bundle of Joy creating life, wealth, health on its course towards That Sweet and Warm Rose Which Succors All, refuting the sky-yelling child-men who must only hit and hurt and shout themselves into mattering.

Sure. Although for my money – it’s green, because this is a river bank. 🙂

Excuse me for hysterically laughing, but I have never seen the Big Hole In The Ocean Going Down To Hell described that way. I can only assume that you are a Mistress Race troll feeling particularly nostalgic?

        http://www.glorantha.com/docs/why-do-the-giants-use-the-river-of-cradles/

If the cradle is considered by analogy to an amniotic sac
And if the Zola Fel River is considered by analogy to a birth canal
Then a vagina analogue would be implied: Magasta’s Pool

Might the world you enter seem like Hell after being forcibly ejected from the closeness and security of the body you breathed through since the beginning?

I like the baptist preacher near the shore, blessing the flock, soon to be engulfed by the wave.
Wait, you don’t have baptists in your Glorantha? 😉

Those are river priests of the Zola Fel. We’ll see what they’re up to on the next page.
