So, who’s the Solar-looking chap sitting in the front row with the rune-emblazoned spear…?

      I’m hoping it’s Rurik the Restless. 😉

I’m not surprised by the number of animal nomads of various stripes visible in the crowd. I’m curious who the gray-haired fellow sitting next to Rurik with his face half painted white and half in shadow is. Any thoughts?

I like how our heroes are suitably portrayed in a dark place receiving a secret mission. The Stormbull is suitably imposing-looking, like a tree trunk. I also like how ridiculous these different cultures look, all mishmashed together, but that is the way of adventuring parties, even in Glorantha.

I remember the King of Dragon Pass game, one of the encounters is a typical adventuring party of a dragonnewt and a bunch of other out-of-place characters. It really drove home just how comical the stereotypical adventuring party is, viewed in an otherwise normal context of growing crops, sacrificing to Orlanth, and stealing your neighbor’s cows.

Tough-looking bunch, but then they’ll need to be! I’d love to see a similar drawing for the bunch of Rubble Rangers, hoods, and adventurers I sent on board (‘The Cradlesnatchers’), perhaps being harangued by Argrath in Rowdy Djoh Lo’s, but I know that would be too much to expect.

Brilliant drawing, in the 2nd and 3rd panel. The 3rd is really poetic, but in the second you play with the fact that it’s a vertical image, and that the reader has to consider the silent crowd before going down the lower part, where you managed to put some text. So the reader has to let a couple of silent seconds pass before going on. Brilliant use of the limitations of the media! 😀
