I’ll give him this, Argrath isn’t shy about announcing his goals.

Or at least his Trickster isn’t shy about it. But then, stupid recklessness is a hallmark of Tricksters, isn’t it?

I do find it odd that Garrath would be using his bond trickster for his diplomacy, yhough.

        1. “Spitting in the eye of the Goddess” isn’t so much a goal as a vague boast. Presumably the idea is to draw Scharman in by getting him to ask something along the lines of “And just how are you going to do that?”.

(BTW, currently my best guess is “Bring down the Glowline”. I seem to recall that we know from the Dragon Pass scenarios that this did indeed happen at least once during Argrath’s entry into Sartar and this might be it. @_@).

        2. Sending the Trickster may itself be a message. Alternatively, he might calculate that her having a history with Scharman should count for something. Unless those hand signals of Scharman’s a strip or two ago are meant to say “Prepare the attack while I stall her” he’s being amazingly patient with someone who killed a couple of his men merely because they had something she wanted.

I would guess it might have something to do with intercepting a giant’s cradle as it floats down the river and keeping it out of the hands of the Lunar Empire.

….Naaaah! Don’t be silly! I mean, what are the chances of that happening?
