The slaughter is about to begin…
But Harrek does look abit ridiculous from behind 😉

Thats because you have never seen a bear from behind. ¡And this guy is the same height! You don´t know fear, Runeblogger… xD

Harrek’s stylistic choice of wearing the entire bearskin (including the legs) does look a bit odd, but I doubt most of the people who meet him criticize his fashion sense. Poor Captain Henrako cuts a much more elegant figure, but it is terribly clear which of them is going to carry the day.

He’s not wearing the entire bear skin. Check out his profile picture on the cast page.

The profile picture makes it look like the skin is cut off at the bear’s torso, with no legs down the back. In contrast, the image on page 33 shows legs. This is clearly an aspect of Harrek’s magic, as he’s expecting to enter battle he embraces more of the White Bear. 🙂

Does Harrek’s fleet propels itself by rowing and magic only? No sails for an oceanic seafarer? Just curious

Both the Kathaelans and the Wolf Pirates are using rowers only in this case, because they are about to engage, and having your sails down is not really going to help either side.

Sails would be a definite tactical error when heading into bronze age battle. A few fire arrows would have devastating affect.

I really like the rear view of Harrek in his Polar Bear Onesie. There’s certainly a Moon Design marketing opportunity there,

Once I get Jeff to greenlight my idea for a children’s book of Gloranthan myths, we could totally do a whole range of kiddie stuff. Polar Bear pajamas (with terrible runes and painful symbols inscribed on the inside, of course), foam Thunderbolts, the works!

Well, once we gather this into a trade paperback you’ll have a chance to do that!

Make sure to display a lot of architectural details on the city of wonders for the upcoming $5000 lego kit, including the exclusive harrek minifig, it took the design group 3 years to decide on the placement of the bears tail. My personal favourite blocks of the kit are the new colours of clear blocks that make up the rainbow, this kit contains plenty of those.

Prince of Sartar is an epic story of the Hero Wars set in Greg Stafford's Glorantha.
